☀️ Celebrating Magic of the Extra Chromosome ☀️

You can’t expect a society to change overnight... but every little bit of kindness, understanding and acceptance brings change into someone's life.

Every story told, every photo shared opens a little window into the world of children and adults born with Down Syndrome. A world of marvellous human beings who are not afraid to be themselves, who are spontaneous and creative and bring unconditional love and sparkling sunshine to everyone around them.  By creating this calendar we hope to make a small contribution to building appreciation of who they truly are.

Before we go any further I want to thank Lynn Murray and “Don’t Screen Us Out” for helping us to spread the word about this project and to everyone who sent us images! This calendar wouldn’t exist if it wasn’t for you!

As you have probably noticed 2020 wasn’t exactly a ‘business-as-usual’ kind of year. Social Distancing meant we couldn’t have sessions in our studio, which prompted us to go global and ask the online community if anyone would be interested in joining our ‘Double Sunshine’ project. The response was overwhelming. Photo submissions came from all over the world. They were fabulous! Beyond fabulous! After spending a few days agonizing over which 12 images we should pick for the calendar we decided to include… Everyone! And the work on the photos began.
