With Love from Hope - Part II

We've got such an overwhelming response to our first 'With Love from Hope' post,  we decided to share a few more images from Hope's 'Alice in Wonderland' session.

Little sweetie-pie has so many different expressions, I can photograph her day in, day out :)

The Hatter Is the Matter...

Nathaniel... Talented, talented, talented and extremely hard-working.  Very gifted dancer and quite an actor, as you can see...

We were thrilled to have him back in our studio (haven't seen him for a couple of years).  After oohing and aahing at how much he had grown in that time and catching up on news we had the most fabulous session,  which resulted in some pretty striking images :)

It's Always Tea Time

We've been photographing this family every year for a number of years now and we were absolutely thrilled to have them back for 'Alice in Wonderland' shoot. Assigning the characters according to their personalities  was a breeze and photographing them was a real treat.

I always get such a warm feeling watching them interact with each other.  There so so much care and love in this family...  We are so lucky we are able to watch them grow.

With Love from Hope

'Who in the world am I? Ah, that's the great puzzle!'  Lewis Carrol

One of my favourite girls to photograph and one of my favourite 'Alice in Wonderland' quotes to muse about...  A fabulous match to officially introduce our newest  'Alice in Wonderland' photo theme.

What makes it even more special is that October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, the time we celebrate an extra chromosome 21...

I love this girl, her larger-than-life personality, her endless creativity and her most genuine way of expressing herself.  She showers everyone around her with love and tenderness. She is full of surprises and mischief.

We wish her all the success in the world!!!

Sweet Little Fairy

We first met this little fairy at the Dreams Come True Royal Ball a couple of years ago.  Incredibly sweet and super adorable she was very serious and a little bit shy.  Today she blossomed into a little actress... and a fairy :)

I absolutely love how her photos turned out.

Two Little Pixies

Seriously adorable, these two little pixies were full of giggles and mischief.

Fluttering between real and imaginary worlds they made us laugh non-stop all the way through the session.

Once Upon a Time in an Enchanted Forest...

...there were two Little Fairies...

They brought love and harmony to the forest and everyone around them.

I absolutely had to put these portraits on easels and take a photo of them as soon as they arrived.  Not sure if the photo does the justice to how incredibly beautiful they look together. I called it 'Magic, Love and Harmony'... :)

Precious Little Big Guy

In addition to  being simply adorable this little munchkin has a way of drawing you into his world. His face changes every moment.  From serious to curious, from questioning to amused... His laugh is beyond contagious.  He can easily carry out a conversation... without saying a word :)  Everyone around him loves him to pieces!!! How can you not?!!

Cheshire Cat Challenge

When I started working on our 'Alice in Wonderland' set I didn't think it would turn out to be such a challenge.  Somehow in my mind I thought the characters and props would materialize practically on their own in a couple of months.

TWO YEARS LATER... I'm happy to say we're ready :) ...

In anticipation of this theme's launch we would like to give everyone a chance to win a complimentary session, an 8x10 print and a 13x19 watercolour print.

There are going to be four different challenges, one per week starting today.  Three new questions and the correct answers to the previous challenge will be posted on Saturdays.

Good Luck!!!

Four Little Swans

This session felt like a ballet rehearsal. Four sweetest cousins. Together and solo. They looked like four little swans who came to play on our winter pond.  I absolutely had to listen to Tchaikovsky while editing the photos, now can't get it out of my head :)

Smiles Across the Miles

At this time last year I was in Kyiv, Ukraine mourning with my mother after the tragic passing of my brother in early February. Because I could not be at the Ball in person my husband set up a Skype call which allowed me and the people at the Ball to chat 'live' while I was 8014 km away on the other side of the world.  These images are screen shots. My plan was to surprise everyone with these photos at the Royal Ball this year, but we got a surprise of our own when we found out that we were not invited back to the Royal Ball.

I'd like to thank everyone who took the time to come and speak to me through Skype. Your smiling faces had brought some joy to my life for the first time since my brother's passing.

A special thank you to everyone who inquired whether we would be at this year's event. I am very touched by your kind words, and we regret very much that we will not be seeing you at this year's Ball.

We hope you enjoy the photos.

Since we put together a beautiful new 3D set for portraits, before we learned that we won't be at the Ball this year,  we will be having a 'Fairytale for a Princess' special on Sunday, April 17th.

The details will be posted very soon.

We hope you have a wonderful time at this year's Ball

Seeing the world through the eyes of a child

Do you remember yourself as a child?  Discovering the world... Being amazed, being amused...  Seeing magic in everything...

Watching this little munchkin explore our studio was such a delight.  He was very much like a little mobile rainbow splashing in the waves of laughter.  Brightening everything around him. Making us all smile :)
