Art Worthy - Day Five - Alice in Wonderland
Sometimes I ask myself what exactly it is that I do?
In my previous life of being a teacher my goal was always to nourish talent, build self-esteem and inspire children to reach for the highest goals...
Today I get to do the same thing. When children are in our studio they dive into an atmosphere of free expression, playfulness and make belief.
I find myself being in awe of their creativity exactly the same way I did when choosing my career as a teacher.
Art Worthy - Day Four - Winter Wonderland
Winter Wonderland is one of our all time favourites. When photographs come straight out of the camera looking like art, emphasizing the details and turning them into paintings makes them look exquisite.

While so many people today are obsessed with celebrity, we believe all you have to do is look at the people near you to see their talent and beauty that comes from within. Two things that are truly art-worthy.
Art Worthy - Day Two - Babies
These two lil' brothers were positively determined not to fall asleep while in the studio, at least not at the same time... It took all of our patience and some advanced lullabying techniques on their mama's part to get them to this state :) It was worth the wait.
Little lilac teddy bear. So precious! Just look at those cheeks!!! Can't believe it's already been a year since we took this photo.
Little sweet pea B. We photographed her soooo many times :) Quite a character then she is quite a character now. We wish she lived closer so we could see her more often.
Art Worthy
Dear Friends,
It's not a secret that the majority of our clients are drawn to our photography because they see their children as genuinely art worthy.
Knowing that, we've decided to take it up a notch and we've created a new Art Collection featuring both babies and children we have photographed.
For the next seven days we are going to post these images both on our Free Lense website and on our Facebook page.

Adorable Duo
When I saw this little duo's photo for the first time my first question was, "How do we tell them apart? They are so alike!!!" Their mother replied, "One is outgoing, the other is quieter..." , so when they arrived at out studio we were ready to look for the clues :)
At the beginning they both were very reserved, but little by little they warmed up to the idea and finished with a dance party. Telling them apart was much easier than we thought, different colour pants helped a lot :)
Sweetest Little Angel
Such a sweet little fairy with crystal blue eyes, beautiful curls and a mischievous smile. She stole our hearts the moment she came to our Enchanted Forest...
Her images look like scenes from a movie. You maybe looking at a future starlet.

Alice in Wonderland - Preview
Here is a tiny preview of our upcoming 'Alice in Wonderland' slideshow and 2017 Wonderland Calendar. We want to thank everyone who took part in the making of it, the children, the parents and siblings... A special thanks to Stacy Routledge, who helped to organize the project and who did a terrific job casting our little actors for the various roles.

We had so much fun photographing this family.
Boys fed of each other's energy and parents teased them into laughing non-stop.
All of us made together a great team and images turned out fantastic!
Little Angels
Two little sisters. Looking beyond angelic... Radiating harmony and light.
You can't help but notice an enormous affection they have for each other. I love how every single image of two of them together speaks of a strong-strong bond between them.

Wonderland... Wonderland... Wonderland...
It was on of these 'on the spur of the moment' sessions, which we almost never do anymore.
Little girl starring Alice is a huge-huge fun of the Lewis Carroll's story. Her mother told me that 'Alice in Wonderland' is one of her two favourite movies of all times :) She knew the story by heart. It was such a a joy to watch her act out different scenes.
Her brother wasn't exactly supposed to be in the photos, but they were visiting from Saskatoon and didn't have anyone to look after him at that moment... so he came along... and I'm so happy he did.
If he is not the most adorable Mad Hatter you can imagine, I don't know who is!!!

...mixed with a little hurricane :)
New questions, new ideas, new expressions... All coming at you at a blazingly fast speed. I wish I knew the exact location of the energy dispenser where she gets her refills!
I Love My Sister
It's incredibly heartwarming to watch these two play together. The little brother is so gentle, caring and protective of his sister, it gives you goosebumps.
Of course, both of them looked adorable in every single image, which made picking the best ones really really tough.

This is a photo of our original Alice and Queen of Hearts taken two and a half years ago.
We're so glad our models stuck with us until we completed our set.

A Passion and a Dream
Nathaniel... A person of a rare talent and determination. Choreography is in his blood. Driven by his passion for ballet, he is on his way to becoming a professional dancer. Since we saw him two years ago he took his skill to a completely new level.
Can't wait to see him on stage!!!
